At Friends of Penny's Min Pin Rescue we believe in working with other rescue group's who share the same core rescue values as we do. These rescue groups are true dog rescues and run professional operations. Each has exceptionally high standards of care and compassion for the dogs and their outstanding membership.
Among the family , we share information; procedures, we fundraise together, and share DNA (do not adopt) applications.
Working together we are able to act as a central team and an instant force multiplier allowing us to take effective action in time sensitive situations which results in saving more dogs all across the country. Min Pin's are used as “training bait” for dog fight clubs.
Together we have established an EMERGENCY RESCUE TRUST to help out each rescue when a major surgical procedure has to be done to a dog. Typically dog rescues are not well funded. We don't have corporate sponsors; we don't have any sugar daddies, all we have is our membership and you.
With advancements in veterinary medicine dogs that did not have options a few years ago now do, allowing them to have a second chance of happy and quality life.
When one of the family rescues has an injured dog with a major surgical procedure, the EMERGENCY RESCUE TRUST makes a donation towards the vetting cost of that procedure. Allowing the rescue to make decisions on what is best for the dog, not an economic business decision as some rescues choose to or have no other choice but to do.
The EMERGENCY RESCUE TRUST gives each of the rescues a powerful tool so we, as rescues, may make decisions not based on the economic status of our rescue at that moment, but rather make decisions on what is best for the dog and not bankrupt the rescue at the same time.
